Vacuum Feeders

Operating Principle

In the P&P vacuum feeder, the product at the front is pulled from the inclined lateral magazine via a lever mechanism using vacuum suction cups. Spring-loaded deflectors retain the subsequent products in the pile. This feeder is suitable for inherently rigid products having sensitive surfaces (data carriers) or covers in which no relative movement or friction may take place on the surface.

The suction wheel principle consists in slightly lifting the uppermost sheets onto an air cushion by means of laterally supplied blown air. The uppermost sheet is sucked at the sheet edge via a rotating vacuum drum and pulled out towards the front. This feeder is suitable in particular for thin products having sensitive surfaces or paper sheets of 40 g/m2 to 170 g/m2. The separated products are then placed on the outfeed conveyor unit, aligned and passed on to the further processing unit.
