For 55 years, the iF design award has served as an internationally recognized trademark for outstanding design. Across the globe, the iF brand, with offices in Hanover, Munich, Taipei and Seoul, is an established symbol for exceptional design achievement. FlexiSEAL is one of the award winners.
In 2008 Köra-Packmat Maschinenbau GmbH, Villingendorf and the design agency "designship" located at Ulm together developed the new wrapping machine FlexiSEAL. Great importance was attached to aspects such as product quality, reliability and the optimization of the wrapping process. Particular attention was paid to the machine design.
The essential evaluation criteria for the iF product design awards consist of design quality, workmanship, degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, visualization of use, branding and universal design. FlexiSEAL perfectly represents these aspects - that was the jury's judgement and therefore they selected the machine as a winner of the iF product design awards 2009 in the category industry / skilled trades. Thus Flexi SEAL carries the iF quality seal- out of a total of 2,808 entries from 39 different nations.
FlexiSEAL's most outstanding characteristic is its inline concept. There is a coherent process from flat film (BOPP/CPP, 35 up to 100 µm) to the final bags (form, fill and seal). Film and header film can be printed partly or completely. Additional features e.g. direct print or labels can be added as well. The result is an attractive display pack, with or without header and Euro hole.
Due to the machine's modular design it can be configured flexibly and individually, additional equipment can easily be added or exchanged according to the customers' various requirements. Therefore it is possible to keep the initial investment low.
The 92 cm working height provides an ergonomically well-arranged working area for the safe and easy access during production and service. A special lightweight hood provides sound insulation.
